Matthew 11:20-22

Chapter 5
Jesus Compassionate High Priest

1 Every high priest is taken from among men and made their representative before God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.
2He is able to deal patiently* with the ignorant and erring, for he himself is beset by weakness
3and so, for this reason, must make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people.
4No one takes this honor upon himself but only when called by God, just as Aaron was.
5In the same way, it was not Christ who glorified himself in becoming high priest, but rather the one who said to him:
“You are my son;
this day I have begotten you”;c
6just as he says in another place:*
“You are a priest forever
according to the order of Melchizedek.”d
7In the days when he was in the flesh, he offered prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to save him from death,* and he was heard because of his reverence.
8Son though he was,* he learned obedience from what he suffered;
9and when he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him,
10declared by God high priest according to the order of Melchizedek.

2 Peter
Chapter 3
Exhortation to Preparedness

11Since everything is to be dissolved in this way, what sort of persons ought [you] to be, conducting yourselves in holiness and devotion,
12* waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God,k because of which the heavens will be dissolved in flames and the elements melted by fire.
13But according to his promise we await new heavens and a new earth* in which righteousness dwells.l
14Therefore, beloved, since you await these things, be eager to be found without spot or blemish before him, at peace.
15And consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, also wrote to you,
16speaking of these things as he does in all his letters. In them there are some things hard to understand that the ignorant and unstable distort to their own destruction, just as they do the other scriptures.
17Therefore, beloved, since you are forewarned, be on your guard not to be led into the error of the unprincipled and to fall from your own stability.
18But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and to the day of eternity. [Amen.]

2 Peter
Chapter 3
Denial of the Parousia
1 This is now, beloved, the second letter I am writing to you; through them by way of reminder I am trying to stir up your sincere disposition,
2to recall the words previously spoken by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and savior through your apostles.
3Know this first of all, that in the last days scoffers will come [to] scoff, living according to their own desires
4and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming?From the time when our ancestors fell asleep, everything has remained as it was from the beginning of creation.”
5They deliberately ignore the fact that the heavens existed of old and earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God;
7The present heavens and earth have been reserved by the same word for fire, kept for the day of judgment and of destruction of the godless.
8But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years* and a thousand years like one day.
9The Lord does not delay his promise, as some regard “delay,” but he is patient with you, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a mighty roar and the elements will be dissolved by fire, and the earth and everything done on it will be found out.

Chapter 1
His Person and Work
15 He is the image* of the invisible God,
the firstborn of all creation.
16For in him* were created all things in heaven and on earth,
the visible and the invisible,
whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers;
all things were created through him and for him.i
17He is before all things,
and in him all things hold together.
18He is the head of the body, the church.*
He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead,
that in all things he himself might be preeminent.j
19For in him all the fullness* was pleased to dwell,
20and through him to reconcile all things for him,
making peace by the blood of his cross*
[through him], whether those on earth or those in heaven.k
21 And you who once were alienated and hostile in mind because of evil deeds
22he has now reconciled in his fleshly body through his death, to present you holy, without blemish, and irreproachable before him,
23provided that you persevere in the faith, firmly grounded, stable, and not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, am a minister.

Chapter 9
The Wrath and compassion of God

19You will say to me then, “Why (then) does he still find fault? For who can oppose his will?”q

20But who indeed are you, a human being, to talk back to God?r Will what is made say to its maker, “Why have you created me so?”

21Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for a noble purpose and another for an ignoble one?

22What if God, wishing to show his wrath and make known his power, has endured with much patience the vessels of wrath made for destruction?

23This was to make known the riches of his glory to the vessels of mercy, which he has prepared previously for glory,

24namely, us whom he has called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles.

Witness of the Prophets.
25As indeed he says in Hosea:
“Those who were not my people I will call ‘my people,’
and her who was not beloved* I will call ‘beloved.’t
26And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’
there they shall be called children of the living God.”u
27v And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, “Though the number of the Israelites were like the sand of the sea, only a remnant will be saved;
28for decisively and quickly will the Lord execute sentence upon the earth.”
29And as Isaiah predicted:
“Unless the Lord of hosts had left us descendants,
we would have become like Sodom
and have been made like Gomorrah.”

Chapter 1
Punishment of Idolaters

18 The wrath* of God* is indeed being revealed from heaven against every impiety and wickednessp of those who suppress the truth by their wickedness.
19For what can be known about God is evident to them, because God made it evident to them.
20Ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what he has made. As a result, they have no excuse;
21for although they knew God they did not accord him glory as God or give him thanks. Instead, they became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless minds were darkened.
22While claiming to be wise,t they became fools
23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for the likeness of an image of mortal man or of birds or of four-legged animals or of snakes.u
24Therefore, God handed them over to impurity through the lusts of their hearts* for the mutual degradation of their bodies.
25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and revered and worshiped the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26Therefore, God handed them over to degrading passions. Their females exchanged natural relations for unnatural,
27and the males likewise gave up natural relations with females and burned with lust for one another. Males did shameful things with males and thus received in their own persons the due penalty for their perversity.
28And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God handed them over to their undiscerning mind to do what is improper.
29 They are filled with every form of wickedness, evil, greed, and malice; full of envy, murder, rivalry, treachery, and spite. They are gossips
30and scandalmongers and they hate God. They are insolent, haughty, boastful, ingenious in their wickedness, and rebellious toward their parents.
31They are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
32Although they know the just decree of God that all who practice such things deserve death, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

Chapter 11
Reproaches to Unrepentant Towns
20 Then he began to reproach the towns where most of his mighty deeds had been done, since they had not repented.
21“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon,* they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes.
22But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.
23 And as for you, Capernaum:
‘Will you be exalted to heaven?l
You will go down to the netherworld.’
For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
24But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.

Chapter 27
 Trust in God

7Hear my voice, LORD, when I call;
have mercy on me and answer me.
8“Come,” says my heart, “seek his face”;*
your face, LORD, do I seek!

Chapter 25
Confident Prayer for Forgiveness and Guidance

5 Guide me by your fidelity and teach me,
for you are God my savior,
for you I wait all the day long.
6Remember your compassion and your mercy, O LORD,
for they are ages old.e
7Remember no more the sins of my youth;f
remember me according to your mercy,
because of your goodness, LORD.

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7

"The lights of God and Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit and
Bible lights us all with the lights and
miracles of Mother Mary"
"keep faith"
