"Nang ikaanim na buwan na ng pagdadalang tao ni Elisabeth, ang anghel Gabriel ay isinugo ng Diyos sa Nazareth, Galilea, sa isang dalaga na ang pangala'y Maria. As the traditional “Simbang Gabi” begins, the head of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines said that Christmas season is a reminder of God’s synodality — His journeying with us.

Bishop Pablo Virgilio David of Kalookan, CBCP president, said that synodality is an invitation to walk together and to journey united in Jesus as his disciples did.

Pope: communication must be inclusive and truthful

Pope Francis reflects on the responsibility of those involved in communication encouraging them to always seek the truth, fight hate speech, give voice to those who have no voice, and refrain from spreading personal opinions.

The duty of those who work in communications is "to encourage closeness, to give voice to the excluded, to draw attention to what we normally discard and ignore" said Pope Francis speaking to Vatican employees and participants in the Dicastery for Communication’s Plenary Assembly.

Here’s what the Vatican is doing for the World Day of the Poor

ROME— On Sunday, Nov. 13, the Catholic Church will mark the 6th World Day of the Poor.

The day was established by Pope Francis at the end of the Year of Mercy, “so that throughout the world Christian communities can become an ever greater sign of Christ’s charity for the least and those most in need,” he wrote in Misericordia et misera.
