pagtitiis ng hirap ay bahagi ng pagkahirang sa inyo ng Diyos; sa pagkat
ng si Cristo ay magtiis para sa inyo, binigyan niya kayo ng halimbawang

"Kayo'y
aalalayan niya hanggang sa wakas upang matagpuan kayong walang
kapintasan sa Araw ng ating Panginoong Jesu-Cristo. Tapat ang Diyos na

Chapter 2
- CHRISTIAN SLAVES
- 18
- 9 Slaves, be subject to your masters with all reverence, not only to those who are good and equitable but also to those who are perverse.
- 19
- For whenever anyone bears the pain of unjust suffering because of consciousness of God, that is a grace.
- 20
- But what credit is there if you are patient when beaten for doing wrong? But if you are patient when you suffer for doing what is good, this is a grace before God.
- 21
- For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered 10 for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his footsteps.

- "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." 11

- When he was insulted, he returned no insult; when he suffered, he did not threaten; instead, he handed himself over to the one who judges justly.

- He himself bore our sins in his body upon the cross, so that, free from sin, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

- For you had gone astray like sheep, but you have now returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls. 12
Chapter 1

- I give thanks to my God always on your account for the grace of God bestowed on you in Christ Jesus,
- 5
- that in him you were enriched in every way, with all discourse and all knowledge,
- 6
- as the testimony 3 to Christ was confirmed among you,
- 7
- so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift as you wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

- He will keep you firm to the end, irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus (Christ).

- God is faithful, and by him you were called to fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Chapter 3
- 1
- 1 Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2
- 2
- He came to Jesus at night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these signs that you are doing unless God is with him."
- 3
- Jesus answered and said to him, "Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born 3 from above."
- 4
- Nicodemus said to him, "How can a person once grown old be born again? Surely he cannot reenter his mother's womb and be born again, can he?"
- 5
- Jesus answered, "Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.
- 6
- What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit.
- 7
- Do not be amazed that I told you, 'You must be born from above.'
- 8
- The wind 4 blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."
- 9
- Nicodemus answered and said to him, "How can this happen?"
- 10
- Jesus answered and said to him, "You are the teacher of Israel and you do not understand this?
- 11
- Amen, amen, I say to you, we speak of what we know and we testify to what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony.
- 12
- If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?
- 13
- No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man.
- 14
- And just as Moses lifted up 5 the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
- 15
- 6 so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."
- 16
- For God so loved the world that he gave 7 his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.
- 17
- For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn 8 the world, but that the world might be saved through him.
- 18
- Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
- 19
- 9 And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil.
- 20
- For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed.
- 21
- But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.

- 1 This is now, beloved, the second letter I am writing to you; through them by way of reminder I am trying to stir up your sincere disposition,
- 2
- to recall the words previously spoken by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and savior through your apostles.
- 3
- Know this first of all, that in the last days scoffers 2 will come (to) scoff, living according to their own desires
- 4
- and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming? 3 From the time when our ancestors fell asleep, everything has remained as it was from the beginning of creation."
- 5
- They deliberately ignore the fact that the heavens existed of old and earth was formed out of water and through water 4 by the word of God;
- 6
- through these the world that then existed was destroyed, deluged with water. 5
- 7
- The present heavens and earth have been reserved by the same word for fire, kept for the day of judgment and of destruction of the godless.
- 8
- 6 7 But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day.
- 9
- The Lord does not delay his promise, as some regard "delay," but he is patient with you, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
- 10
- But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, 8 and then the heavens will pass away with a mighty roar and the elements will be dissolved by fire, and the earth and everything done on it will be found out.
- 11
- 9 Since everything is to be dissolved in this way, what sort of persons ought (you) to be, conducting yourselves in holiness and devotion,
- 12
- 10 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved in flames and the elements melted by fire.
- 13
- But according to his promise we await new heavens and a new earth 11 in which righteousness dwells.
- 14
- Therefore, beloved, since you await these things, be eager to be found without spot or blemish before him, at peace.
- 15
- And consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, also wrote to you,
- 16
- speaking of these things 12 as he does in all his letters. In them there are some things hard to understand that the ignorant and unstable distort to their own destruction, just as they do the other scriptures.
- 17
- Therefore, beloved, since you are forewarned, be on your guard not to be led into the error of the unprincipled and to fall from your own stability.
- 18
- But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and to the day of eternity. (Amen.)

pangalan ng Panginoon, ito ang sinasabi ko sa inyo: huwag na kayong
mamuhay tulad ng pamumuhay ng mga walang pananampalataya sa Diyos.
Walang kabuluhan ang kanilang iniisip, 18at wala silang pang-unawa. Dahil sa kanilang kamangmangan at katigasan ng ulo, wala silang bahagi sa buhay na kaloob ng Diyos.
15Kaya't mag-ingat kayo kung paano kayo namumuhay. Mamuhay kayong tulad ng matatalino at di tulad ng mga mangmang. 16Samantalahin ninyo ang bawat pagkakataon na kayo'y makagawa ng mabuti sapagkat punung-puno ng kasamaan ang daigdig ngayon. 17Huwag kayong maging hangal. Unawain ninyo kung ano ang kalooban ng Panginoon.
