TEACHING OF GOSPELTEACHING OF FAITH
SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD

Manggilalas kayo at mapapahamak!

Mark
Chapter 4:1-9
The Parable of the Sower
1 On another occasion he began to teach by the sea. A very large crowd gathered around him so that he got into a boat on the sea and sat down. And the whole crowd was beside the sea on land.

2And he taught them at length in parables, and in the course of his instruction he said to them,
3 “Hear this! A sower went out to sow.

4And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and the birds came and ate it up.

5Other seed fell on rocky ground where it had little soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep.

6And when the sun rose, it was scorched and it withered for lack of roots.

7Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it and it produced no grain.

8And some seed fell on rich soil and produced fruit. It came up and grew and yielded thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.”

9He added, “Whoever has ears to hear ought to hear.”

Matthew
Chapter 10:26-33
Courage Under Persecution

26 “Therefore do not be afraid of them. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.

27What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.

28And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

29Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge.

30Even all the hairs of your head are counted.

31So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

32 Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father.

33But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.

Luke
Chapter 12:1-9
The Leaven of the Pharisees

1Meanwhile, so many people were crowding together that they were trampling one another underfoot. He began to speak, first to his disciples, “Beware of the leaven—that is, the hypocrisy—of the Pharisees.

Courage Under Persecution

2 “There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.

3Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed on the housetops.

4I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body but after that can do no more.

5I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the power to cast into Gehenna; yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one.

6Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins? Yet not one of them has escaped the notice of God.

7Even the hairs of your head have all been counted. Do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.

8I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God.

9But whoever denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God.

John
Chapter 8:31-38
The Truth shall set you free

31Jesus then said to those Jews who believed in him, “If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples,

32and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

33They answered him, “We are descendants of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How can you say, ‘You will become free’?”

34Jesus answered them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.

35A slave does not remain in a household forever, but a son always remains.

36So if a son frees you, then you will truly be free.

37I know that you are descendants of Abraham. But you are trying to kill me, because my word has no room among you.

38 I tell you what I have seen in the Father’s presence; then do what you have heard from the Father.”

Colossians
Chapter 2:4-8
A General Admonition

4I say this so that no one may deceive you by specious arguments.

5For even if I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing as I observe your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.

6So, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in him,

7rooted in him and built upon him and established in the faith as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

8See to it that no one captivate you with an empty, seductive philosophy according to human tradition, according to the elemental powers of the world and not according to Christ.

Acts
Chapter 13:16-43
Paul’s Address in the Synagogue

16 So Paul got up, motioned with his hand, and said, “Fellow Israelites and you others who are God-fearing, listen.

17The God of this people Israel chose our ancestors and exalted the people during their sojourn in the land of Egypt. With uplifted arm he led them out of it

18and for about forty years he put up with them in the desert.

19When he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them their land as an inheritance

20at the end of about four hundred and fifty years. After these things he provided judges up to Samuel [the] prophet.

21Then they asked for a king. God gave them Saul, son of Kish, a man from the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.

22Then he removed him and raised up David as their king; of him he testified, ‘I have found David, son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will carry out my every wish.’

23From this man’s descendants God, according to his promise, has brought to Israel a savior, Jesus.

24John heralded his coming by proclaiming a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel;

25and as John was completing his course, he would say, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. Behold, one is coming after me; I am not worthy to unfasten the sandals of his feet.’

26“My brothers, children of the family of Abraham, and those others among you who are God-fearing, to us this word of salvation has been sent.

27The inhabitants of Jerusalem and their leaders failed to recognize him, and by condemning him they fulfilled the oracles of the prophets that are read sabbath after sabbath.

28For even though they found no grounds for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him put to death,

29and when they had accomplished all that was written about him, they took him down from the tree and placed him in a tomb.

30But God raised him from the dead,

31and for many days he appeared to those who had come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. These are [now] his witnesses before the people.

32We ourselves are proclaiming this good news to you that what God promised our ancestors

33he has brought to fulfillment for us, (their) children, by raising up Jesus, as it is written in the second psalm, ‘You are my son; this day I have begotten you.

34And that he raised him from the dead never to return to corruption he declared in this way, ‘I shall give you the benefits assured to David.’

35That is why he also says in another psalm, ‘You will not suffer your holy one to see corruption.’

36Now David, after he had served the will of God in his lifetime, fell asleep, was gathered to his ancestors, and did see corruption.

37But the one whom God raised up did not see corruption.

38You must know, my brothers, that through him forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you, [and] in regard to everything from which you could not be justified under the law of Moses,

39in him every believer is justified.

40Be careful, then, that what was said in the prophets not come about:

41‘Look on, you scoffers,
be amazed and disappear.
For I am doing a work in your days,
a work that you will never believe
even if someone tells you.’”

42As they were leaving, they invited them to speak on these subjects the following sabbath.

43After the congregation had dispersed, many Jews and worshipers who were converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who spoke to them and urged them to remain faithful to the grace of God.

1 Corinthians
Chapter 1:18-25
Paradox of the Cross

18The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

19For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the learning of the learned I will set aside.”

20Where is the wise one? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made the wisdom of the world foolish?

21 For since in the wisdom of God the world did not come to know God through wisdom, it was the will of God through the foolishness of the proclamation to save those who have faith.

22For Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom,

23but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

24but to those who are called, Jews and Greeks alike, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

25For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Luke
Chapter 12
Dependence on God

22 He said to [his] disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life and what you will eat, or about your body and what you will wear.

23For life is more than food and the body more than clothing.

24Notice the ravens: they do not sow or reap; they have neither storehouse nor barn, yet God feeds them. How much more important are you than birds!

25Can any of you by worrying add a moment to your life-span?

26If even the smallest things are beyond your control, why are you anxious about the rest?

27Notice how the flowers grow. They do not toil or spin. But I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of them.

28If God so clothes the grass in the field that grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith?

29As for you, do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not worry anymore.

30All the nations of the world seek for these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

31Instead, seek his kingdom, and these other things will be given you besides.

32Do not be afraid any longer, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.

33Sell your belongings and give alms. Provide money bags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven that no thief can reach nor moth destroy.

34For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.

1 Peter
Chapter 3:8-12
Christian Conduct

8Finally, all of you, be of one mind, sympathetic, loving toward one another, compassionate, humble.

9Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but, on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit a blessing.

10For:
“Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep the tongue from evil
and the lips from speaking deceit,

11must turn from evil and do good,
seek peace and follow after it.

12For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears turned to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against evildoers.”

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
