MESSAGE OF GOD

Matthew 13:43

2 Timothy
Chapter 2:1-13
Timothy’s Conduct

1 So you, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2And what you heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will have the ability to teach others as well.

3Bear your share of hardship along with me like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

4To satisfy the one who recruited him, a soldier does not become entangled in the business affairs of life.

5Similarly, an athlete cannot receive the winner’s crown except by competing according to the rules.

6The hardworking farmer ought to have the first share of the crop.

7Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, a descendant of David: such is my gospel,

9for which I am suffering, even to the point of chains, like a criminal. But the word of God is not chained.

10Therefore, I bear with everything for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, together with eternal glory.

11This saying is trustworthy:
If we have died with him
we shall also live with him;

12if we persevere
we shall also reign with him.
But if we deny him
he will deny us.

13If we are unfaithful
he remains faithful,
for he cannot deny himself.

Colossians
Chapter 3:5-17
Renunciation of Vice

5Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry.

6Because of these the wrath of God is coming [upon the disobedient].

7By these you too once conducted yourselves, when you lived in that way.

8But now you must put them all away: anger, fury, malice, slander, and obscene language out of your mouths.

9Stop lying to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices

10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed, for knowledge, in the image of its creator.

11Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all and in all.

12Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

13bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a grievance against another; as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do.

14And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection.

15And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful.

16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

17And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Matthew
Chapter 21:33-46
The Parable of the Tenants

33 “Hear another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenants and went on a journey.

34When vintage time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to obtain his produce.

35But the tenants seized the servants and one they beat, another they killed, and a third they stoned.

36Again he sent other servants, more numerous than the first ones, but they treated them in the same way.

37Finally, he sent his son to them, thinking, ‘They will respect my son.’

38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and acquire his inheritance.’

39 They seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.

40What will the owner of the vineyard do to those tenants when he comes?”

41They answered him, “He will put those wretched men to a wretched death and lease his vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the proper times.”

42 Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the scriptures:
‘The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
by the Lord has this been done,
and it is wonderful in our eyes’?

43 Therefore, I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit.

44 The one who falls on this stone will be dashed to pieces; and it will crush anyone on whom it falls.]”

45When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they knew that he was speaking about them.

46And although they were attempting to arrest him, they feared the crowds, for they regarded him as a prophet.

Matthew
Chapter 18:10-14
The Parable of the Lost Sheep

10 See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.

[11]12 What is your opinion? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray?

13And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray.

14In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.

Romans
Chapter 3:21-31
Justification apart from the Law

21But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, though testified to by the law and the prophets,

22the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction;

23all have sinned and are deprived of the glory of God.

24They are justified freely by his grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus,

25whom God set forth as an expiation, through faith, by his blood, to prove his righteousness because of the forgiveness of sins previously committed,

26through the forbearance of God—to prove his righteousness in the present time, that he might be righteous and justify the one who has faith in Jesus.

27 What occasion is there then for boasting? It is ruled out. On what principle, that of works? No, rather on the principle of faith.

28For we consider that a person is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

29Does God belong to Jews alone? Does he not belong to Gentiles, too? Yes, also to Gentiles,

30for God is one and will justify the circumcised on the basis of faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

31Are we then annulling the law by this faith? Of course not! On the contrary, we are supporting the law.

Matthew
Chapter 13:36-43

  The Explanation of the Parable of the Weeds

36Then, dismissing the crowds, he went into the house. His disciples approached him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.

37 He said in reply, “He who sows good seed is the Son of Man,

38the field is the world, the good seed the children of the kingdom. The weeds are the children of the evil one,

39and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

40Just as weeds are collected and burned [up] with fire, so will it be at the end of the age.

41The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers.

42 They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.

43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears ought to hear.

Psalms
Chapter 29:1-11
The Lord of Majesty Acclaimed as King of the World

 1A psalm of David.

I

Give to the LORD, you sons of God,
give to the LORD glory and might;

2Give to the LORD the glory due his name.
Bow down before the LORD’s holy splendor!

II

3The voice of the LORD is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the LORD, over the mighty waters.

4The voice of the LORD is power;
the voice of the LORD is splendor.

10The LORD sits enthroned above the flood!
The LORD reigns as king forever!

11May the LORD give might to his people;
may the LORD bless his people with peace!

EFESO 4:17-18 5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
