TEACHING OF GOSPEL
TEACHING OF FAITH
SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD

Matthew
Chapter 5:17-20
Teaching About the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.

18Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.

19Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

20I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew
Chapter 7:12 The Golden Rule

12 Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets.

Matthew
Chapter 22:34-40 The Greatest Commandment

34 When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together,

35and one of them [a scholar of the law] tested him by asking,

36“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?”

37 He said to him, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

38This is the greatest and the first commandment.

39 The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

John
Chapter 13:31-35

The New Commandment

31 When he had left, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

32[If God is glorified in him,] God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him at once.

33My children, I will be with you only a little while longer. You will look for me, and as I told the Jews, ‘Where I go you cannot come,’ so now I say it to you.

34I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.

 35This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

Luke
Chapter 16:16-17
Sayings About the Law

16 The law and the prophets lasted until John; but from then on the kingdom of God is proclaimed, and everyone who enters does so with violence.

17It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for the smallest part of a letter of the law to become invalid.

John
Chapter 8:31-38
The Truth will set you Free

31Jesus then said to those Jews who believed in him, “If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples,

32and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

33They answered him, “We are descendants of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How can you say, ‘You will become free’?”

34Jesus answered them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.

35A slave does not remain in a household forever, but a son always remains.

36So if a son frees you, then you will truly be free.

37I know that you are descendants of Abraham. But you are trying to kill me, because my word has no room among you.

38 I tell you what I have seen in the Father’s presence; then do what you have heard from the Father.”

Romans
Chapter 3:21-31
Justification apart from the Law

21But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, though testified to by the law and the prophets,

22the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction;

23all have sinned and are deprived of the glory of God.

24They are justified freely by his grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus,

25whom God set forth as an expiation, through faith, by his blood, to prove his righteousness because of the forgiveness of sins previously committed,

26through the forbearance of God—to prove his righteousness in the present time, that he might be righteous and justify the one who has faith in Jesus.
27 What occasion is there then for boasting? It is ruled out. On what principle, that of works? No, rather on the principle of faith.

28For we consider that a person is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

29Does God belong to Jews alone? Does he not belong to Gentiles, too? Yes, also to Gentiles,

30for God is one and will justify the circumcised on the basis of faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

31Are we then annulling the law by this faith? Of course not! On the contrary, we are supporting the law.

Romans
Chapter 3:9-20
Universal Bondage to Sin

9Well, then, are we better off? Not entirely, for we have already brought the charge against Jews and Greeks alike that they are all under the domination of sin,

10as it is written:
“There is no one just, not one,

11there is no one who understands,
there is no one who seeks God.

12All have gone astray; all alike are worthless;
there is not one who does good,
[there is not] even one.

13Their throats are open graves;
they deceive with their tongues;
the venom of asps is on their lips;

14their mouths are full of bitter cursing.

15Their feet are quick to shed blood;

16ruin and misery are in their ways,

17and the way of peace they know not.

18There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

19Now we know that what the law says is addressed to those under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world stand accountable to God,

20since no human being will be justified in his sight by observing the law; for through the law comes consciousness of sin.

1 John
Chapter 3:19-24
Confidence before God

19[Now] this is how we shall know that we belong to the truth and reassure our hearts before him

20in whatever our hearts condemn, for God is greater than our hearts and knows everything.

21Beloved, if [our] hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence in God

22and receive from him whatever we ask, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.

23And his commandment is this: we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another just as he commanded us.

24Those who keep his commandments remain in him, and he in them, and the way we know that he remains in us is from the Spirit that he gave us.

Psalms
Chapter 32:1-7
Remission of Sin

1 Of David. A maskil.

I

Blessed is the one whose fault is removed,
whose sin is forgiven.
2Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes no guilt,
in whose spirit is no deceit.

II

3Because I kept silent, my bones wasted away;
I groaned all day long.
4For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
my strength withered as in dry summer heat.

5Then I declared my sin to you;
my guilt I did not hide.
I said, “I confess my transgression to the LORD,”
and you took away the guilt of my sin.
Selah
6Therefore every loyal person should pray to you
in time of distress.
Though flood waters threaten,
they will never reach him.
7You are my shelter; you guard me from distress;
with joyful shouts of deliverance you surround me.

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
