SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD

Roman 3:7-8

2 Thessalonians
Chapter 2:1-17
Christ and the Lawless One

1We ask you, brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling with him,

2not to be shaken out of your minds suddenly, or to be alarmed either by a “spirit,” or by an oral statement, or by a letter allegedly from us to the effect that the day of the Lord is at hand.

3Let no one deceive you in any way. For unless the apostasy comes first and the lawless one is revealed, the one doomed to perdition,

4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god and object of worship, so as to seat himself in the temple of God, claiming that he is a god—

5do you not recall that while I was still with you I told you these things?

6And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. But the one who restrains is to do so only for the present, until he is removed from the scene.

8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord [Jesus] will kill with the breath of his mouth and render powerless by the manifestation of his coming,

9the one whose coming springs from the power of Satan in every mighty deed and in signs and wonders that lie,

10and in every wicked deceit for those who are perishing because they have not accepted the love of truth so that they may be saved.

11Therefore, God is sending them a deceiving power so that they may believe the lie,

12that all who have not believed the truth but have approved wrongdoing may be condemned.

13But we ought to give thanks to God for you always, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in truth.

14To this end he has [also] called you through our gospel to possess the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, either by an oral statement or by a letter of ours.

16May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through his grace,

17encourage your hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word.

Revelation
Chapter 13:5-18

The First Beast

5 The beast was given a mouth uttering proud boasts and blasphemies, and it was given authority to act for forty-two months.

6It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling and those who dwell in heaven.

7It was also allowed to wage war against the holy ones and conquer them, and it was granted authority over every tribe, people, tongue, and nation.

8All the inhabitants of the earth will worship it, all whose names were not written from the foundation of the world in the book of life, which belongs to the Lamb who was slain.

9Whoever has ears ought to hear these words.

10Anyone destined for captivity goes into captivity.
Anyone destined to be slain by the sword shall be slain by the sword.
Such is the faithful endurance of the holy ones.

The Second Beast

11Then I saw another beast come up out of the earth; it had two horns like a lamb’s but spoke like a dragon.

12It wielded all the authority of the first beast in its sight and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound had been healed.

13It performed great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in the sight of everyone.

14It deceived the inhabitants of the earth with the signs it was allowed to perform in the sight of the first beast, telling them to make an image for the beast who had been wounded by the sword and revived.

15It was then permitted to breathe life into the beast’s image, so that the beast’s image could speak and [could] have anyone who did not worship it put to death.

16It forced all the people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to be given a stamped image on their right hands or their foreheads,

17so that no one could buy or sell except one who had the stamped image of the beast’s name or the number that stood for its name.

18 Wisdom is needed here; one who understands can calculate the number of the beast, for it is a number that stands for a person. His number is six hundred and sixty-six.

John
Chapter 10
The Good Shepherd

1 Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever does not enter a sheepfold through the gate but climbs over elsewhere is a thief and a robber.

2But whoever enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.

3The gatekeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice, as he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

4 When he has driven out all his own, he walks ahead of them, and the sheep follow him, because they recognize his voice.

5But they will not follow a stranger; they will run away from him, because they do not recognize the voice of strangers.”

6Although Jesus used this figure of speech, they did not realize what he was trying to tell them.

7 So Jesus said again, “Amen, amen, I say to you, I am the gate for the sheep.

8 All who came [before me] are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.

9I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.

10A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.

11I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

12A hired man, who is not a shepherd and whose sheep are not his own, sees a wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away, and the wolf catches and scatters them.

13This is because he works for pay and has no concern for the sheep.

14I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me,

15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I will lay down my life for the sheep.

16I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear my voice, and there will be one flock, one shepherd.

17This is why the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again.

18No one takes it from me, but I lay it down on my own. I have power to lay it down, and power to take it up again. This command I have received from my Father.”

19Again there was a division among the Jews because of these words.

20Many of them said, “He is possessed and out of his mind; why listen to him?”

21Others said, “These are not the words of one possessed; surely a demon cannot open the eyes of the blind, can he?”

Luke
Chapter 16
A Saying Against the Pharisees

14 The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all these things and sneered at him.

15And he said to them, “You justify yourselves in the sight of others, but God knows your hearts; for what is of human esteem is an abomination in the sight of God.

2 Corinthians
Chapter 11
Preaching without Charge

1If only you would put up with a little foolishness from me! Please put up with me.

2 For I am jealous of you with the jealousy of God, since I betrothed you to one husband to present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

3But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve* by his cunning, your thoughts may be corrupted from a sincere [and pure] commitment to Christ.

4For if someone comes and preaches another Jesus* than the one we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it well enough.

5 For I think that I am not in any way inferior to these “superapostles.” 6Even if I am untrained in speaking, I am not so in knowledge;f in every way we have made this plain to you in all things.

7 Did I make a mistake when I humbled myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you without charge?

8I plundered other churches by accepting from them in order to minister to you.

9And when I was with you and in need, I did not burden anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my needs. So I refrained and will refrain from burdening you in any way.

10By the truth of Christ in me, this boast of mine shall not be silenced in the regions of Achaia.

11 And why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!

12And what I do I will continue to do, in order to end this pretext of those who seek a pretext for being regarded as we are in the mission of which they boast.

13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, who masquerade as apostles of Christ.

14And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light.

15So it is not strange that his ministers also masquerade as ministers of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

John
Chapter 8
Your father is the Devil

39 They answered and said to him, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would be doing the works of Abraham.

40But now you are trying to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God; Abraham did not do this.

41You are doing the works of your father!” [So] they said to him, “We are not illegitimate. We have one Father, God.”

42Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and am here; I did not come on my own, but he sent me.

43Why do you not understand what I am saying? Because you cannot bear to hear my word.

44You belong to your father the devil and you willingly carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

45But because I speak the truth, you do not believe me.

46Can any of you charge me with sin? If I am telling the truth, why do you not believe me?

47Whoever belongs to God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not listen, because you do not belong to God.”

Romans
Chapter 3
Answers to Objections

1 What advantage is there then in being a Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision?

2Much, in every respect. [For] in the first place, they were entrusted with the utterances of God.

3What if some were unfaithful? Will their infidelity nullify the fidelity of God?

4Of course not! God must be true, though every human being is a liar, as it is written:
“That you may be justified in your words,
and conquer when you are judged.”

5But if our wickedness provides proof of God’s righteousness, what can we say? Is God unjust, humanly speaking, to inflict his wrath?

6Of course not! For how else is God to judge the world?

7But if God’s truth redounds to his glory through my falsehood, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?

8And why not say—as we are accused and as some claim we say—that we should do evil that good may come of it? Their penalty is what they deserve.

Psalms
Chapter 9
Thanksgiving for Victory and Prayer for Justice

8The LORD rules forever,
has set up his throne for judgment.

9It is he who judges the world with justice,
who judges the peoples with fairness.

10The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.

11Those who know your name trust in you;
you never forsake those who seek you, LORD.

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
