2 Timothy

Chapter 2:1-13
Timothy’s Conduct
1 So you, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2And what you heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will have the ability to teach others as well.
3Bear your share of hardship along with me like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
4To satisfy the one who recruited him, a soldier does not become entangled in the business affairs of life.
5Similarly, an athlete cannot receive the winner’s crown except by competing according to the rules.
6The hardworking farmer ought to have the first share of the crop.
7Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.
8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, a descendant of David: such is my gospel,
9for which I am suffering, even to the point of chains, like a criminal. But the word of God is not chained.
10Therefore, I bear with everything for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, together with eternal glory.
11This saying is trustworthy:
If we have died with him
we shall also live with him;
12if we persevere
we shall also reign with him.
But if we deny him
he will deny us.
13If we are unfaithful
he remains faithful,
for he cannot deny himself.

1 John
Chapter 5:1-12
Faith is Victory over the World

1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten by God, and everyone who loves the father loves [also] the one begotten by him.
2In this way we know that we love the children of God when we love God and obey his commandments.
3For the love of God is this, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome,
4for whoever is begotten by God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith.
5Who [indeed] is the victor over the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
6This is the one who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ, not by water alone, but by water and blood. The Spirit is the one that testifies, and the Spirit is truth.
9If we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is surely greater. Now the testimony of God is this, that he has testified on behalf of his Son.
10Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar by not believing the testimony God has given about his Son.
11And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12Whoever possesses the Son has life; whoever does not possess the Son of God does not have life.

Romans
Chapter 10:1-21
The salvation is for all

1 Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God on their behalf is for salvation.
2I testify with regard to them that they have zeal for God, but it is not discerning.
3For, in their unawareness of the righteousness that comes from God and their attempt to establish their own [righteousness], they did not submit to the righteousness of God.
4For Christ is the end* of the law for the justification of everyone who has faith.
5 Moses writes about the righteousness that comes from [the] law, “The one who does these things will live by them.”
6But the righteousness that comes from faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will go up into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down) 7* or ‘Who will go down into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).”
8But what does it say?
“The word is near you,
in your mouth and in your heart”
(that is, the word of faith that we preach),
9for, if you confess* with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
11For the scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”
12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all, enriching all who call upon him.
13For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”l
14 But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?
15And how can people preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring [the] good news!”
16But not everyone has heeded the good news; for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what was heard from us?”
17Thus faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.
18But I ask, did they not hear? Certainly they did; for
“Their voice has gone forth to all the earth,
and their words to the ends of the world.”
19But I ask, did not Israel understand? First Moses says:
“I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation;
with a senseless nation I will make you angry.”
20 Then Isaiah speaks boldly and says:
“I was found [by] those who were not seeking me;
I revealed myself to those who were not asking for me.”
21But regarding Israel he says, “All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contentious people.”

Matthew
Chapter 24:3-14
The Beginning of Calamities

3As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately and said, “Tell us, when will this happen, and what sign will there be of your coming, and of the end of the age?”

4 Jesus said to them in reply, “See that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and they will deceive many.

6 You will hear of wars* and reports of wars; see that you are not alarmed, for these things must happen, but it will not yet be the end.

7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be famines and earthquakes from place to place.

8* All these are the beginning of the labor pains.

9  Then they will hand you over to persecution, and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of my name.

10And then many will be led into sin; they will betray and hate one another.

11Many false prophets will arise and deceive many;

12and because of the increase of evildoing, the love of many will grow cold.

13 But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.

Luke
Chapter 11:14-23
Jesus and Beelzebul

14He was driving out a demon [that was] mute, and when the demon had gone out, the mute person spoke and the crowds were amazed.
15Some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons.”
16Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven.
17But he knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house.
18And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons.
19If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your own people drive them out? Therefore they will be your judges.
20But if it is by the finger of God that [I] drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
21When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe.
22But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away the armor on which he relied and distributes the spoils.
23Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

Mark
Chapter 2:13-17
The Call of Levi
13Once again he went out along the sea. All the crowd came to him and he taught them.

14 As he passed by,* he saw Levi, son of Alphaeus, sitting at the customs post. He said to him, “Follow me.” And he got up and followed him.

15While he was at table in his house,* many tax collectors and sinners sat with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many who followed him.

16 Some scribes who were Pharisees saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors and said to his disciples, “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

17Jesus heard this and said to them [that], “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.”

John
Chapter 7:14-31
The First Dialogue

14When the feast was already half over, Jesus went up into the temple area and began to teach.
15 The Jews were amazed and said, “How does he know scripture without having studied?
16Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not my own but is from the one who sent me.
17Whoever chooses to do his will shall know whether my teaching is from God or whether I speak on my own.
18Whoever speaks on his own seeks his own glory, but whoever seeks the glory of the one who sent him is truthful, and there is no wrong in him.
19Did not Moses give you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”
20 The crowd answered, “You are possessed!* Who is trying to kill you?”
21Jesus answered and said to them, “I performed one work * and all of you are amazed
22because of it. Moses gave you circumcision—not that it came from Moses but rather from the patriarchs—and you circumcise a man on the sabbath.
23If a man can receive circumcision on a sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a whole person well on a sabbath?
24Stop judging by appearances, but judge justly.”
25So some of the inhabitants of Jerusalem said, “Is he not the one they are trying to kill?
26And look, he is speaking openly and they say nothing to him. Could the authorities have realized that he is the Messiah?
27But we know where he is from. When the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.”
28So Jesus cried out in the temple area as he was teaching and said, “You know me and also know where I am from. Yet I did not come on my own, but the one who sent me, whom you do not know, is true.
29I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.”
30So they tried to arrest him, but no one laid a hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come.
31But many of the crowd began to believe in him, and said, “When the Messiah comes, will he perform more signs than this man has done?”r

Psalms
Chapter 65
Thanksgiving for Gods Blessings

2To you we owe our hymn of praise,
O God on Zion;
To you our vows* must be fulfilled,
3*you who hear our prayers.
To you all flesh must come
4with its burden of wicked deeds.
We are overcome by our sins;
only you can pardon them.
5Blessed the one whom you will choose and bring
to dwell in your courts.
May we be filled with the good things of your house,
your holy temple!

10 You visit the earth and water it,
make it abundantly fertile.
God’s stream* is filled with water;
you supply their grain.
Thus do you prepare it:
11you drench its plowed furrows,
and level its ridges.
With showers you keep it soft,
blessing its young sprouts.

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
HEBREWS 4:7
"KAPAG NARINING NINYO ANG TINIG NG DIYOS, HUWAG MAGING MATIGAS ANG INYONG ULO."
