Matthew
Chapter 2
THE RETURN FROM EGYPT

23
12 He went and dwelt in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, "He shall be called a Nazorean."

Matthew
Chapter 21
THE ENTRY INTO JERUSALEM

11
And the crowds replied, "This is Jesus the prophet, 9 from Nazareth in Galilee."

John
Chapter 8

THE LIGHTS OF THE WORLD

12
5 Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

John
Chapter 14

JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD

6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth 5 and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

1 Corinthians
Chapter 10
WARNING AGAINST OVERCONFIDENCE AND IDOLATRY
1
1 I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea,
2
and all of them were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea.
3
All ate the same spiritual food,
4
and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they drank from a spiritual rock that followed them, 2 and the rock was the Christ.
5
Yet God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the desert.
6
3 These things happened as examples for us, so that we might not desire evil things, as they did.
7
And do not become idolaters, as some of them did, as it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to revel."
8
Let us not indulge in immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell within a single day.
9
Let us not test Christ 4 as some of them did, and suffered death by serpents.
10
Do not grumble as some of them did, and suffered death by the destroyer.
11
These things happened to them as an example, and they have been written down as a warning to us, upon whom the end of the ages has come. 5
12
Therefore, whoever thinks he is standing secure should take care not to fall. 6
13
No trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it.
14
7 Therefore, my beloved, avoid idolatry.
15
I am speaking as to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I am saying.
16
The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?
17
Because the loaf of bread is one, we, though many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.
18
Look at Israel according to the flesh; are not those who eat the sacrifices participants in the altar?
19
So what am I saying? That meat sacrificed to idols is anything? Or that an idol is anything?
20
No, I mean that what they sacrifice, (they sacrifice) to demons, 8 not to God, and I do not want you to become participants with demons.
21
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and also the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.
22
Or are we provoking the Lord to jealous anger? Are we stronger than he?
23
9 "Everything is lawful," but not everything is beneficial. 10 "Everything is lawful," but not everything builds up.
24
No one should seek his own advantage, but that of his neighbor.
25
11 Eat anything sold in the market, without raising questions on grounds of conscience,
26
for "the earth and its fullness are the Lord's."
27
If an unbeliever invites you and you want to go, eat whatever is placed before you, without raising questions on grounds of conscience.
28
But if someone says to you, "This was offered in sacrifice," do not eat it on account of the one who called attention to it and on account of conscience;
29
I mean not your own conscience, but the other's. For why should my freedom be determined by someone else's conscience?
30
If I partake thankfully, why am I reviled for that over which I give thanks?
31
So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
32
12 Avoid giving offense, whether to Jews or Greeks or the church of God,
33
just as I try to please everyone in every way, not seeking my own benefit but that of the many, that they may be saved.

1 Corinthians
Chapter 12

UNITY AND VARIETY

24
whereas our more presentable parts do not need this. But God has so constructed the body as to give greater honor to a part that is without it,
25
so that there may be no division in the body, but that the parts may have the same concern for one another.
26
If (one) part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all the parts share its joy.
27
5 Now you are Christ's body, and individually parts of it.
28
Some people God has designated in the church to be, first, apostles; 6 second, prophets; third, teachers; then, mighty deeds; then, gifts of healing, assistance, administration, and varieties of tongues.
29
Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work mighty deeds?
30
Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?
31
Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts. But I shall show you a still more excellent way.

1 Corinthians
Chapter 14
PROPHECY GREATER THAN TONGUE
1
1 Pursue love, but strive eagerly for the spiritual gifts, above all that you may prophesy.
2
2 For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to human beings but to God, for no one listens; he utters mysteries in spirit.
3
On the other hand, one who prophesies does speak to human beings, for their building up, 3 encouragement, and solace.
4
Whoever speaks in a tongue builds himself up, but whoever prophesies builds up the church.

RULES OF ORDER

26
9 So what is to be done, brothers? When you assemble, one has a psalm, another an instruction, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Everything should be done for building up.
27
If anyone speaks in a tongue, let it be two or at most three, and each in turn, and one should interpret.
28
But if there is no interpreter, the person should keep silent in the church and speak to himself and to God.
29
Two or three prophets should speak, and the others discern.
30
But if a revelation is given to another person sitting there, the first one should be silent.
31
For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged.
32
Indeed, the spirits of prophets are under the prophets' control,
33
since he is not the God of disorder but of peace. As in all the churches of the holy ones, 10

Colossians
Chapter 3
THANKSGIVING
1
1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2
Think of what is above, not of what is on earth.
3
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4
When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory.
5
2 Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry. 3
6
Because of these the wrath of God 4 is coming (upon the disobedient).
7
By these you too once conducted yourselves, when you lived in that way.
8
But now you must put them all away: 5 anger, fury, malice, slander, and obscene language out of your mouths.
9
Stop lying to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices
10
6 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed, for knowledge, in the image of its creator.
11
Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, 7 slave, free; but Christ is all and in all.
12
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,
13
bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a grievance against another; as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do.
14
And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection.
15
And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful.
16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17
And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

1 Corinthians
Chapter 6
LAWSUIT FORM UNBELIEVERS
12
4 "Everything is lawful for me," 5 but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is lawful for me," but I will not let myself be dominated by anything.
13
"Food for the stomach and the stomach for food," but God will do away with both the one and the other. The body, however, is not for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body;
14
God raised the Lord and will also raise us by his power.
15
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take Christ's members and make them the members of a prostitute? 6 Of course not!
16
(Or) do you not know that anyone who joins himself to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For "the two," it says, "will become one flesh."
17
But whoever is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.
18
Avoid immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the immoral person sins against his own body. 7
19
Do you not know that your body is a temple 8 of the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
20
For you have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.

Hebrews
Chapter 11
FAITH OF THE ANCIENTS
1
1 Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence 2 of things not seen.
2
Because of it the ancients were well attested.
3
By faith we understand that the universe was ordered by the word of God, 3 so that what is visible came into being through the invisible.

Psalms
Chapter 46
GOD, THE PROTECTOR OF ZION
1
1 2 For the leader. A song of the Korahites. According to alamoth.
2
God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in distress.
3
3 Thus we do not fear, though earth be shaken and mountains quake to the depths of the sea,
4
Though its waters rage and foam and mountains totter at its surging. 4 The LORD of hosts is with us; our stronghold is the God of Jacob. Selah

8
The LORD of hosts is with us; our stronghold is the God of Jacob. Selah
9
Come and see the works of the LORD, who has done fearsome deeds on earth;
10
Who stops wars to the ends of the earth, breaks the bow, splinters the spear, and burns the shields with fire;
11
Who says: "Be still and confess that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth."
12
The LORD of hosts is with us; our stronghold is the God of Jacob. Selah

Psalms
Chapter 65
THANKSGIVING FOR GODS BLESSING'S
1
1 For the leader. A psalm of David. A song.
2
2 To you we owe our hymn of praise, O God on Zion; To you our vows must be fulfilled,
3
3 you who hear our prayers. To you all flesh must come
4
with its burden of wicked deeds. We are overcome by our sins; only you can pardon them.
5
Happy the chosen ones you bring to dwell in your courts. May we be filled with the good things of your house, the blessings of your holy temple!

FOR OUR SPIRITUAL BELIEF IN LIFE
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17
